Introducing Leticia Jorge – CTS Summer Student Resident

This June we welcomed Leticia Jorge as our first 2013 Summer Student Resident.  Leticia  came to us from the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design where she is studying fine craft.  While studying at NBCCD Leticia discovered a love of machine knitting and has been blending her background in industrial design and visual arts with knitting and textile arts.

While a resident at the Contemporary Textile Studio, Leticia took advantage of our gorgeous studio and facilities and spent time experimenting with techniques such as dying, embroidery and dressmaking.  She also took part in our workshop with International Visiting artist Maxine Sutton.
