In this workshop, students will explore different types of algae bioplastics, discuss its ecology and uses, experiment with various recipes and play with fabrication methods. In a context of environmental collapse, material-based design can give rise to infinite alternatives to non-degradable polymers and provide a new medium for expression. This workshop is ideal for those interested in experimenting with biomaterials and incorporating new materials for any type of practice from art to design to packaging and craft.
