In this intensive 3-day workshop, learn the principles of preparing different fabrics with mordants and making dye extracts from diverse dye sources for hand-painting and printing on cloth. Technical and creative experimentation with mordant, tannin, dye and discharge printing will be explored through sampling on cloth with different mark-making processes – screen, stencil, and block-printing. Discover the rich colour possibilities achieved through modifiers and enhancers, over-printing and colour mixing.
