With a concentration on screenprinting and fabric dyeing, Shannon’s work combines abstract collage, drawing and painting to create designs which are printed onto useable objects. Simple shapes are often inspired by nature but contrasted with bold colours or unrealistic lines. After completing a BFA at the University of Victoria, BC, she moved to Toronto and began taking many workshops at the Contemporary Textile Studio Co-op under the teaching of Sharon Epstein, who she has assisted in teaching workshops at CTSC. In 2016 she launched a small line of handmade goods, and has been a part of Toronto’s craft community.
