Munira Amin is an artist/designer interested in culture, craft and textiles. She graduated in Product Design from the National College of Art, Architecture and Design, Lahore, Pakistan.

As a designer she is committed to promoting design that preserve and enhance traditional working practices. She works in collaboration with indigenous artisans sustaining their skills, knowledge, culture and environment. She has a long association with textile and fiber. As an artist she is exploring natural materials used as dyes, printing with hand carved wooden blocks and other unique traditional working practices.

More recently she has spent some time in Ajrak making workshops in Sindh, Pakistan, observing, understanding, researching and photographing this centuries old art of Ajrak making. She is interested in printing methods that are in harmony with their environment and processes that are sustainable within social and environmental contexts.
