In this Phulkari workshop, participants will explore the traditional Punjabi embroidery known for its vibrant colours and intricate patterns. The session will cover the history and cultural significance of Phulkari, along with the basic techniques and stitches used to create its signature designs.
Participants will learn to follow a design and select their own color palette. By the end of the workshop, each participant will complete a Phulkari embroidered piece, which can be appliquéd onto a shirt or scarf, framed, or displayed in an embroidery hoop.
Materials to bring with you: reading glasses (if you wear them)
