In a Phulkari workshop, participants will be introduced to the traditional Punjabi embroidery art form known for its vibrant colors and intricate designs. The workshop will cover the history and cultural significance of Phulkari, the basic techniques and stitches used in creating traditional patterns. Participants will embroider their own tote bags using traditional Phulkari stitches, choosing their designs and color palettes. The workshop will include an exploration of Phulkari research, stories, and shawls by the artist. By the end, each participant will have a completed Phulkari tote bag, showcasing their personalized design and newly acquired skills.
